The Tesla Cybertruck’s interior has been revealed

Recently, images of the Tesla Cybertruck’s interior have surfaced, providing a first look at a prototype displayed during a shareholder day. The dashboard design extends deep before reaching the base of the windscreen, in line with the vehicle’s distinctive exterior. The steering wheel differs from other Tesla models, combining elements from conventional steering wheels and the new yoke design. Each spoke features buttons for additional functionality.

Similar to other Tesla models, the Cybertruck includes a large landscape-oriented central touchscreen, but there doesn’t appear to be a traditional transmission shifter. Instead, it seems that the driver will use the infotainment system to shift between park, drive, and reverse. Although initial expectations suggested an additional seat in the first row, it appears that this feature may no longer be included. The center console is floor-mounted and provides storage compartments.

Tesla had initially released specifications for the Cybertruck on its US website in 2021, but those details have since been removed. The vehicle was touted to offer 800km of range, a 6.4-tonne towing capacity, and a 0-60mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration time of 2.9 seconds. It was planned to be available in single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual- or tri-motor all-wheel drive configurations.

Tesla has confirmed that the Cybertruck remains on schedule for production to commence later this year, with mass production expected to start in 2024. CEO Elon Musk mentioned plans for a “hand over” of the first deliveries in the third quarter of 2023. It is anticipated that Tesla will reveal final pricing and specifications closer to the delivery date.
